I Believe in Unicorns

I believe in Unicorns… do you?  I illustrated this unicorn for a nursery room wall art print, but it never made it into my Etsy shop. I actually took everything out of my shop and am rethinking the whole shop thing. I may add some content that is downloadable art. Still thinking about it. I found shipping out the Esty prints to be an unproductive break in my day. So if I do prints again I’ve got to explore better production and shipping methods. Any suggestions? I am hoping that if I get some samples of my licensed products that I’ll sell this in my shop. Stay tuned!

Anyway… back to this Unicorn! These magical little creatures seem to be trending very strongly in any shape or style. Since I had started with a wall art print design, I decided that it would like kinda cool as a fabric pattern. So that’s what you see to the right of the Unicorn design. I also love how the creams and teal colors look on the brown fabric ground. Such a whimsical pattern that I’m going to add more colorways also.

Sweet Summertime Cats

Well, another Surtex art licensing trade show has come and gone and now I’m busy with the follow-up part.  I’ve also been working on some Summer designs with my Happy CatZ™ and Happy DogZ™. Designs like this one showing a boy and girl cat both eating ice cream and giving each other googly eyes. You remember googly eyes don’t you?

And a few designs I’m working on with my dogs are a Jack Russell Terrier dog surfing, a Pug dog relaxing in his beach tube with his favorite summer drink. And I’m thinking of something with a Bulldog, hmmm, maybe he’s grilling?

It’s really starting to feel like summer here in the Santa Fe area! I just love the smells of summer. Especially first thing in the morning when I take the dogs outside and hear all of the birds chirping… just heaven.

Coffee Wall Art Collection

I’ve had a coffee collection on my list for awhile and finally was able to get to it.  I’m a coffee lover myself! I wanted to create some designs that were more graphic and contemporary looking.  And I always tend to have some bright colors come out in my work. I started with Java as the first design to establish the look and color palette. Then the design elements started to come into the design.
